Is Journo free?
Yes. The Free plan has no time limit and includes the help desk (1 knowledge source, 500 answers a month), 3 support tickets a month, 3 application forms, the AI watch, moderation, welcome and verification, polls, letters and donations. Paid plans start at €12 a month. See Plans and billing.
Do I need to use a website to set it up?
No. Everything is set up inside Discord with /settings. A web dashboard may come later.
Does the AI make things up?
The help desk only answers from what you've taught it, by default, and says it doesn't know otherwise. You can add a short disclaimer under every AI answer.
Will the AI watch punish people by mistake?
Start in practice mode: it reports what it would do without punishing anyone. Tune your rules, then switch practice mode off. Every strike has a Pardon button, and staff are never checked.
Can members pay to win raffles?
No. Coins bought with money, and activity points given as a thank-you for donating, can never enter raffles. Every entrant gets exactly one ticket.
What is Journo for?
Helping your community get a better service, with the scripts and features it wants. Server owners offer a variety of options in the coin shop (Plus and up), and members show their support by buying what they'd like to see. See Shop and memberships.
Can I change the names of points and coins?
Yes, in /settings > Points and coins. Themes set them for you too.
Does Journo read our messages?
Only where you switch features on: the help desk answers questions, the AI watch checks the channels you pick, and member insights (Plus and up) read the channels you choose, delete the message text once read and keep short summaries for 30 or 180 days. Can I move my settings to another server?
Yes. /config export downloads them and /config import loads them on the other server.
