Getting started
Welcome to the Journo docs
Journo is one Discord bot that does the work of several: a help desk that answers from your own docs, AI moderation, welcome messages and verification, support tickets, application forms, polls, rewards, donations and a shop, themed AI art, sealed letters and member insights. These docs explain how to set each one up, in plain words.
New here? Start with these
- Add Journo to your server
- Check its permissions and role order
- Take the guided tour
- Learn your way around /settings
Setup takes about ten minutes. You never need to visit a website or touch code: everything happens inside Discord.
How these docs are laid out
- Getting started covers inviting Journo and the settings windows.
- Features has one page per feature, with the commands members use and the ones admins use.
- Make it yours covers themes and guardrails (the limits you set for the AI).
- Plans and money explains plans, the hype train and how server owners get paid.
- Help has every command, common questions and fixes for common problems.
Use the search box to jump to any page. Searching for a command, such as /poll, works too.
Two things to know first
- Type
/helpin Discord at any time to see the commands you can use. - Admins can run
/setup-checkto see what's set up and what's still missing.
Stuck? Ask on the support server, or see Troubleshooting.
